Morning Glory- Loaded Applesauce Breakfast Bowl

Homemade Applesauce: Homemade applesauce is absolutely delicious and nutritious but it needs some balancing out in order to be a complete meal. This recipe balances out the fruit with fat, fiber, and protein!

Soulful Satisfaction: This bowl takes a childhood classic and elevates it for our adult selves. This bowl is loaded with superfoods, good textures and nostalgia. 

Morning Glory Apple Sauce Breakfast Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1/2c-1c. Cup Homemade Applesauce (or applesauce of choice) 
  • 2 Tbs Hemp Seeds
  • 2 Tbs Walnuts
  • 1 Tbs Shredded Coconut 
  • 1/4 C. Shredded Carrot
  • 2-4Tbs Coconut Creme 
  • Fresh Nutmeg 

Instructions:

  1. Add applesauce to bowl and top with the recommended toppings! 
  2. Play with quantity! Eyeball it and find what works for you
  3. Mix up the toppings, and what you enjoy 🙂 

P.s. I use coconut creme from a can. I keep it on hand in the fridge and it is absolutely delicious, don’t skip it! 

Pro Tips:

  • Make it your own, add raisins, shredded zucchini, cacao nibs or whatever else calls to you! 
  • You could also try it warm! gently heat the applesauce on the stove then load with toppings.
